Plant Electrician

Position Brief:

The Plant Electrician ensures that the plant electrical equipment and its sub-components are within its correct operating conditions. It involves carrying out installations and repairs on electrical apparatus, systems, and electronic features of industrial equipment and machines while adhering strictly to the electrical manuals, code, power tools, diagrams, and other stipulations by utilizing hand tools, power tools, tests, and electrical equipment.

 

Requirements:

  • Follow that electrical maintenance activity are under safety conditions and guarantees to prevent any environmental damage, and at the same time, to extend the equipment life cycle;
  • Ensure and follow the company’s safety and environmental commitment that will strengthen its integrity, as well as to protect the plant processes;
  • Follow compliance of the GMPs within the work area, as well as in the Operational area;
  • Complies with the food safety and quality policies currently implemented within the plant;
  • Complies with the company’s allotted repair and maintenance cost;
  • Complies with the plant delivery guidelines and regulations;
  • Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of the machine including motors, relays, and switches; may also set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing special and hand tools;
  • Carry out diagnoses and correct or replace malfunctioning electrical/electronic units like the printed circuit boards;
  • Identification of root causes of problems for improving corrective maintenance;
  • Make result projects innovative and creative;
  • Operate the boiler, air compressor, and generator sets as needed;
  • Participate in the company’s strategy projects in accordance with their implementation within the plant;
  • Overseeing the plant during plant shutdown;

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of 2 years electro-mechanical course in a certified technical school;
  • Registered Master Electrician (RME) is of big advantage;
  • Must have experience as a plant electrician in any industrial manufacturing plant for at least two (2) years;
  • Must have knowledge in boiler operation and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge in basic equipment (e.g. pumps, motors, and controls);
  • Background in PLC;
  • Experienced in generator set operations;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Must have basic knowledge of MS Office such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Good communication skills
